Free Mary Jane!

Can we admit that marijuana might not be all bad?

A natural drug that spurs appetite in not only Beavis and Butthead, but also those on chemotherapy trying to beat down nausea and keep on weight.  A substance that's mostly illegal but that can help glaucoma patients and calm spasticity in those with multiple sclerosis and similar diseases.

One might argue that the chronic might be a better treatment for adult attention deficit disorder than the synthetic speed used now.

What's the worst that would happen if we legalize the weed? Late-night rushes on convenience stores for cool-ranch Doritos?

Admit it: Alcohol abuse on the whole is worse. When's the last time MJ caused a stoner to beat his girlfriend, ram his car into a tree, and vomit on his mother's living-room carpet?

We can regulate it and tax the hell out of it. Marijuana might again lead meth in production in some states.

Put that in your bong and smoke it, says I.

The post title takes you to a Washington Post story about U.S. pot production.
