Is that a star in your pocket, or are you happy to see me?

Laugh-out-loud moment: A (female) Texas judge sez today that the Lone Star state's ban on gay marriage in unconstitutional.

This ruling by a district-court judge likely won't stand; the entire state supreme court in Te-hahs is Republican.

Still, funny that. This is the state that arrested two men for having consensual sex in a private home. The men sued, and the Lawrence v. Texas case eventually forced the U.S. Supreme Court to declare on 2003 that anti-sodomy laws cannot stand if they apply only to homosexuals.

Meanwhile, the U.S. military continues to hang on to its "don't ask, don't tell" policy, while it simultaneously says that sodomy includes not only relations between two men or two women, but also oral and anal sex between a man and a woman.

Begging the question of the last time an enlisted Arabic linguist, or a regular GI joe for that matter, was prosecuted for getting a blow job from his wife or girlfriend.
