Nikola Tesla, a pioneer in electricity, radio, and electromagnetic fields, came to Colorado Springs in 1899 to conduct experiments.
Tesla battled his former employer Thomas Edison in the world of ideas. Though Edison is much better known by the general public, a herd of nerds is rallying to Tesla's side.

This afternoon, my local library celebrates the re-release of a book about Tesla's time in Colorado Springs. The father of alternating current rocks on at the foot of Pikes Peak.
