It's clear after same-sex marriage was vetoed by popular vote in Maine yesterday that heterosexuals get prickly (pun intended) about the word "marriage."
Fine. No problem.
Just give committed gay and lesbian couples the same legal and inheritance rights as hets. That's all I care about. You can have your damn word.
