Lucy pulls away the football again?

With a loss in a Massachusetts special Senatorial race tomorrow, Democrats would snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Yet. Again.

If Republicans take the U.S. Senate seat held by the late Ted Kennedy, Dems will lose their filibuster-proof majority of 60 there.

That might doom health-insurance reform for the 978th time. Depending on your perspective, that could be good or bad. My position: While Kennedy was a boozy, womanizing old son-of-a-bitch, he did make health reform his cause. It'd be a shame if his death ended up killing the legislation.
